Seija Knight is a soprano of Australian/Finnish origin. She moved to London from Melbourne in 2005 to study a Masters degree at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama having completed a Bachelor Arts/Music (hons) at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Since arriving in London she has had opportunities to perform at St Martin in Fields, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall and The Barbican. Seija has also worked with the British Youth Opera, Opera Della Luna, Stanley Hall Opera, Opera Novella, ROH2, Incognito Artists and Opera On The Run.
Seija sings on a regular basis at the Covent Garden Markets and also regularly performs across the UK and Europe in private events and corporate functions. Highlights of such events include a private soiree at The Ritz for Prince Albert of Monaco, performing for the Diana Award Charity at Downing St with David Cameron in attendance and singing the Russian and English National Anthems at Wembley Stadium for the England/Russia 2008 qualifier in front of 86,000 people.
