Mike
Felix has a familiar face, having starred
not only on the major club and theatre
circuits but as Eddie Bates in the top
rating TV drama series Widows and then a few
months later, as the indomitable Hookey
Hoskins in the Bill.
Perhaps
it is all down to his training as a boxer in
his early years that gives Mike the aura of
a man who can certainly take care of
himself. Mike’s father was a boxer/trainer
and it was in the ring and not on the boards
that the young ABA lightweight made his
debut.
At
the age of seventeen Mike joined the RAF and
it was there that he was given the scope to
develop his talents on the piano and drums.
Before long he had established himself as a
fast-talking funny man and talented musicia
After touring in the States Mike returned to
the UK and in 1963 formed the MIGIL 5;
they signed with Pye Records and their
first release, Mocking Bird Hill, made the
UK Top Ten.
When
the group scene changed Mike reverted to his
solo/comedy/acting career and he continues
with success in this area to this day.
